Ok so in my last post I was moaning that the edges of my embroidery was a bit too abrupt and that I wanted to try using needle felting for it. Well I did some idea tests. I will just say that in my last post I did say that I wont be using needle felting for the time being as overall the textures are off and the feel is of two seperate things rather than one cohesive thing.

This one was on felt with teh idea I could embroider onto felt if the fibers stuck more easily to it. I hate the extures. Nope

This one is on the embroidery fabric. Better, but still no. Bad textures, not cohesive as an image, nope.

I next tried using the felt in image making. I didn’t want to give up on the whole thing. I also used it to build the image and attached more fabric to the piece using the felt. Maybe. I don’t hate it. If I could think of an applicable image I might use it but I wont be rushing to do so. It’s not like the first time I used beads and then added them to everything after.

I also used it over inked fabric scraps, if the colors were different then again it would be a maybe. It removes some of that texture clash and the colour could make it more cohesive. Still not for a border though. Don’t get excited.

I also used it on the felt and I think it could look good as a background for an image, to set out spaces or planes or areas of action. It did not adhere well to the felt though.

Finally I tried 3d shapes. I think if I could find thinned rings, or make thinner rings it still would not work as a boarder. I don’t like the shadow and the above objections still stand.

Last but not least I made a tits heart. It is my favorite thing and I love it. It says ‘I love my tits’ I could make hundreds and put them on strings so people have to walk through a room and get hit in the face with my love tits.
