I don’t really understand people who use digital sewing machines tl create art pieces. Where is the you in it. I like to see where my hands have worked.

I may have a bit of an obsession with my partner. I have mentioned in a previous post why I like to represent him in my work.

I have recently finished some embroideries of his body. One where he is in a reclining pose like in my old masters photos and one that is just a close up of his penis. In general it just amuses me doing all the little french knots for his pubes. By far that is the best bit of both pieces. I really enjoyed these and definitely want to use embroidery to do more bodies. I would however like to do the drawings a bit looser. I do feel like when I draw and it is too accurate you loose personality and feeling. It becomes like a mimic rather than a drawing. It also became quite tedious being so precise and accurate. Looser drawings and shapes are easier because no one can tell if you have gone wrong.

I would have also liked to have added more of my symbols and colours and sequins and beads to the pieces.
