I want to make figures covered in pink jewels, with red jewels in places, and mounted on plaques like those hunting trophy heads.

I was thinking of getting dolls from charity shops but I want to be able to get the poses just right.

I was thinking of polymer clay but that could have been expensive so I decided to do testers with air dry clay. I have looked and I can use foil as filler and also to make them lighter and I can then paint them and cover them in resin to make them pink and shiny. That way I can test out poses and mounting before making a bigger one with my nicer gems.

I have two reasons for making them. One I like the shiny sparkle. Two I like avoiding things and using shiny distractions and I want to make work about my childhood but also not. This way I can make the figures from baby to adult with the same hurt spots but they won’t be so clear that I have to face anything.

They are also like my charlotte dolls.
